Eminent Domain Real Estate / Condemnation

 Eminent Domain is the right of the government to take private property for a public use.  Condemnation is the legal process used for such a taking.  Appraising within the eminent domain valuation framework requires the understanding of specialized methodologies and a thorough understanding of terminologies combined with land use law.  FRA has extensive experience in the eminent domain appraisal process and has provided appraisals for both landowners and governmental agencies.

Our experience includes "before and after" valuations and the assessment of property damages and just compensation resulting from fee, easement and partial acquisitions.  Property types range from vacant land to a full scope of commercial properties.  The type of projects include highway expansions, powerline easements, petroleum and natural gas pipelines, railroad corridors, flood control and mass transit.
